How do I use it?
Add files with the paperclip or drop them anywhere. Then type what you want, like "merge and compress", "delete pages 2-4", "rotate pages 3 and 5 left", "add page numbers" or "convert to Word". You'll see the plan before anything runs.
Where do my files go?
Nowhere. Everything runs in your browser on your own device. Recent files are saved in this browser only, so you can pick up later. Delete them any time from the ⋯ menu or the account menu.
Is it really free?
Yes. DocDec is completely free while it's in beta. No account, no sign-up, and files up to 500 MB.

Signatures and redaction
Signatures are simple electronic signatures (drawn or typed), valid for most everyday agreements. DocDec adds your name, the date and a signing record page with a fingerprint of the original. Documents that legally need ink or a qualified signature, like notarised papers, can't be signed here. Redaction permanently removes everything under the black boxes.
Install it as an app
Chrome or Edge on a computer or Android: click Install app at the top, or the install icon in the address bar. iPhone or iPad: tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. Once installed it works without internet.
Conversions
Word export has two styles: Editable text keeps bold, sizes, centered headings and tables, and Exact look keeps every page looking identical (as pictures). Scanned PDFs are read automatically with OCR first. PowerPoint keeps the exact look, one page per slide.
Scanned documents (OCR)
DocDec reads the text in scans and photos in 12 languages, including English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Ukrainian, Arabic, Persian and Turkish, right on your device. The first time takes a few seconds while the reader loads. Clear, straight scans work best.
